MBBS in Delhi: Admission Process

Candidates who are planning to secure their seats in the MBBS medical colleges of Delhi are advised to follow the admission process which is mentioned below:

  1. NEET-UG Entrance Examination: Candidates must appear for the NEET-UG entrance exam. The exam is conducted by the NTA every year in the month of May.
  2. Counselling Registration: Candidates then register for the counselling through the appropriate authority. For All India Quota seats, AIIMS, and Central Universities, the designated authority is Medical Counselling Committee, whereas, for State Quota seats in Govt. medical colleges, the designated authority is Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi.
  3. Choice Filling & Locking: Candidates must select their preferred colleges according to their preferences in preference list and lock them before the deadline.
  4. Seat Allotment: The authorities will allot the seat to the candidates based on their cutoff, preferences, and seat availability.
  5. Document Verification: During the document verification, the candidate must bring all the required documents and gets them verified.
  6. Fee Payment: Once, the documents are verified, then the candidate must proceed with the payment of fee.
  7. Reporting to the College: After making the payment, the candidate must report to their allotted college within the prescribed timeline.
