Telangana MBBS Admission Under NRI Quota—Simple Guide
If you are an NRI student with dreams about becoming a doctor in India, then Telangana is the place you should look toward. Its admission is not complicated; you just have to keep in mind a few important things before applying.
Application: Who is Eligible? To get a seat under the NRI quota, either you or your parents should be NRIs. Students holding OCI or PIO status can also apply. The candidate or their parents should hold the status of NRI.
How Does It Work?
After your NEET results, you need to register for NRI quota counseling in Telangana. You will fill in the preferences according to the colleges you like. Seats are given based on your NEET score, your documents, and the options you choose. There are about 700 NRI seats in private medical colleges, and their tuition fees are much higher compared to the regular seats, which come out at somewhere around 23–30 lakh per year, depending on the college.
