MBBS Admission Process in New Delhi

Admission to the MBBS course in medical colleges located in New Delhi is conducted through a centralized counselling process based on the NEET-UG examination.

1. NEET-UG Examination Candidates must appear for and qualify in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate conducted by the National Testing Agency. NEET-UG is mandatory for admission to all government and private medical colleges in Delhi.
   
   
2. Registration for Counselling : Qualified candidates must register for counselling through the appropriate authority:
   
   
   1. Medical Counselling Committee for All India Quota seats, AIIMS, and central universities
      
      
   2. Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi for Delhi state quota seats in government colleges
3. Choice Filling and Locking : Candidates must select and lock their preferred medical colleges in New Delhi during the choice filling process within the given time frame.
   
   
4. Seat Allotment : Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, category, reservation criteria, preferences filled, and seat availability.
   
   
5. Document Verification : Allotted candidates must report for document verification as per the counselling authority’s instructions.
   
   
6. Admission Confirmation : Admission is confirmed after completion of verification, payment of fees, and fulfillment of eligibility requirements.

Documents Required for MBBS Admission

1. NEET-UG Admit Card : Original and photocopy of the NEET-UG admit card issued by the National Testing Agency.
   
   
2. NEET-UG Scorecard / Rank Letter : Printed copy of the NEET-UG result showing score, rank, and qualifying status.
   
   
3. Class 10 Mark Sheet and Certificate : For verification of date of birth and basic academic details.
   
   
4. Class 12 Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate : Must show Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subjects from a recognized board.
   
   
5. Provisional Allotment Letter : Issued by the counselling authority (MCC or state counselling body).
   
   
6. Valid Photo Identity Proof : Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or any government approved ID.
   
   
7. Caste / Category Certificate (if applicable) : For SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or PwD candidates, issued by the competent authority as per government norms.
   
   
8. Domicile Certificate (if applicable) : Required for state quota seats where applicable.
   
   
9. Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate : Issued by the last institution attended.
   
   
10. Migration Certificate : Required if the qualifying examination board is different from the affiliating university.
    
    
11. Passport Size Photographs : Recent photographs, usually 6 to 10 copies, as per college requirements.
    
    
12. Medical Fitness Certificate : Issued by a registered medical practitioner or government hospital.
    
    
13. Character Certificate : Issued by the last school or college attended.
