To be eligible for Bihar NEET counselling 2023, it is mandatory for candidates to have a domicile of Bihar state.This means they must have proof of their residency in Bihar, such as a permanent address or other relevant documentation.

Eligibility Criteria For MBBS In Bihar

• The applicant should have completed 10+2 with Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English.
• Candidates should core at least 50% (40% for reserved categories) in 10+2.
• The aspiring student should qualify the NEET UG exam.
• Achieve a minimum qualifying percentile in NEET UG 2024: 50% for general, 40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for PWD.
• Be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2023.

Guidelines for Natives/Domicile Holders

Applicants seeking admission under the 85% state quota for MBBS admissions in Bihar must meet the following criteria:

• One or both parents must be permanent residents of India.
• Candidates whose parent(s) are refugees in Bihar.
• One of the parents is not a permanent resident of Bihar but is employed by the Government of Bihar.
• Parents of students who are in a transferable job in Bihar and Jharkhand state.
• Candidate’s parents should be working in the Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) of the Government of India.
• Parents working with the United Nations and recruited in Bihar.

     Age Limit

• Applicants must meet the age requirements set by the administration to be considered for admission to Bihar medical colleges.
• Minimum age of 17 as of December 31, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria For NRI/ NRI Sponsored Seats : 

Eligibility for admission under the NRI Quota seats is limited to NRI candidates themselves or children of NRIs whose parents are residents of Bihar. Candidates applying under this category must meet all the eligibility requirements and criteria prescribed for admission under the General Category, unless specified otherwise during the admission process.

Please note:

• Students admitted under NRI/NRI Sponsored category seats are not eligible for the Govt. of Bihar Stipend and Internship Allowance.
• Self-Financed and NRI/NRI Sponsored seats are considered non-resident types. However, hostel facilities may be provided to students admitted under Self-Financed/NRI seats based on availability and suitability.

Documents Required For Admission In Bihar

All candidates must submit the following original certificates, if applicable, at the time of counselling/allotment on the scheduled date:

• Original Admit Card of NEET(UG)-2024
• Original Score Card of NEET(UG)-2024
• Passing Certificate/Marksheet/Admit Card of Matric/equivalent exam
• Passing Certificate/Marksheet/Admit Card of Intermediate/10+2/equivalent exam
• Residential Certificate
• Caste Certificate
• All certificates/documents in original as per the requirements of admissions in Private Medical/Dental Colleges
• Six copies of passport size photographs (which were pasted on the Admit Card of NEET(UG)-2024)
• Downloaded print of Online filled Application Form (PartA&PartB) of UGMAC-2024
• Aadhar Card
• Any other required documents (if any) such as DQ (PH)/SMQ/EWS Certificate etc.

Payment Procedure:

• The candidate must pay the refundable security deposit through online mode only (e.g., by Credit card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI) at the time of registration and submission of the application form.
• Additionally, the candidate must pay a processing charge in addition to the Counselling/Registration Fee and Security Deposit for payment through online mode.
