Eligibility for MBBS and BDS Courses in Government Medical Colleges In Bangladesh
A) Equivalence of Foreign Degree:
- Qualifying Examination:
- Must have passed the A’ level or an equivalent examination.
- O’ level or equivalent examination must have been passed not before 2020.
- A’ level or equivalent examination must have been passed not before 2022.
- A’ level or equivalent examination must be completed within 2 years of the O’ level or equivalent examination.
- GPA Requirements:
- Minimum aggregate GPA of 8.00 (on a scale of 10) in O’ level or equivalent and A’ level or equivalent examinations.
- Minimum GP of 3.50 (on a scale of 5.0) in Biology at A’ level or equivalent examination.
- GPA Calculation:
- For O’ level or equivalent examination, only the top 5 subjects are considered for GPA calculation.
- For A’ level or equivalent examination, only 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) are considered for GPA calculation.
B) Application Process:
- Application Form:
- Duly filled online application forms must be submitted in the specified template by February 29, 2024.
- Document Attestation:
- All certificates must be duly attested by the competent authority, i.e., Education and Foreign Ministries of the respective countries.
- Applicants do not need to submit hard copies of the relevant documents to the Embassy/High Commission.
- Original Documents:
- Eligible applicants must produce all academic certificates, admit cards, and mark sheets/transcripts in original at the time of admission.
C) Tuition Fees:
- SAARC Countries:
- Students from SAARC countries will be required to pay tuition and other fees at the rate charged to Bangladeshi students.
- Non-SAARC Countries:
- Students from other countries will have to pay an additional $5,000 per year, along with the tuition fees charged to Bangladeshi students.
- If students fail to pass the exams in due time, additional charges will apply.
- The students must have qualified for the 10th examination in 2021 or later.
- Candidates must have studied physics, chemistry, and math as the necessary subjects of study in the 10+2 examinations, which should have been completed in 2023 or later.
- Candidates should be NEET qualified either in 2023 or 2024.
- The candidates’ base age should be 17 years, while there is no maximum age restriction.
- Candidates should have a substantial visa and identification with them.
- The minimum grade in the 10+2 examinations of the candidates ought to be 60% in PCB.
- The minimum total GPA in HSC ought to be eight while the individual total shouldn’t be under 3.5
- A copy of your passport.
- Ten recent passport-size photographs reach the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka, by December 2023-24.
- The competent authority must duly certify all certificates, i.e. Certified by the Ministry of Education of the respective country, and the respective Bangladeshi embassies/foreign embassies based in Dhaka abroad.
