Faridkot, 13 August 2025:
Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has officially cancelled the candidature of two candidates for Punjab State Quota MBBS seats in NEET UG 2025 counselling. The cancellation comes due to the violation of Clause 18 of the Punjab Government notification dated 09 August 2024, as per the guidelines mentioned in the official prospectus.
Details of the Cancelled Candidates
The university notice states that the following candidates applied for Punjab State Quota seats while also applying for State Quota in other states, which is not permitted:

Reason for Cancellation
As per Clause 18 of the Punjab Government’s notification, candidates applying for Punjab State Quota seats are not allowed to apply for State Quota in any other state. The two candidates listed above violated this condition, leading to the cancellation of their candidature for Punjab’s MBBS seats under the State Quota.

The BFUHS Registrar, in the official notice dated 13 August 2025, confirmed the cancellation and reminded candidates to carefully read and follow all eligibility conditions before applying for counselling.
