The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has released an important notification regarding the allocation of MBBS and BDS seats from the Central Pool for the academic year 2025-26. This initiative comes under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, to support eligible candidates belonging to specific categories.

Seat Allocation Details

For the academic session 2025-26, four MBBS seats have been allotted to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir under the Central Pool scheme. The seats are distributed across the following medical colleges:

Eligibility Categories

Applications are invited from NEET-UG 2025 qualified candidates belonging to specific categories. The major eligible groups include:

1. Children of families affected by terrorism, where a parent or family member was killed in terrorist acts, cross-firing, or armed forces firing during anti-terrorist operations.
   
2. Children of persons exposed to high risk in anti-terrorism duties, including those listed under terrorist “hit lists.”
   
3. Children of migrant families from Kashmir (both Muslim and non-Muslim) who lost their means of livelihood, property, or business due to the prevailing situation.
   

Note: Additionally, children of All India Service Officers posted in J&K are also eligible to apply.

Important Application Guidelines

• Candidates must submit applications on plain paper along with the required documents.
  
• The last date for submission is 28th August 2025 (till 3:00 PM).

  • Preference of colleges (Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, is exclusively for females)
    

Selection Criteria

• Selection will be made strictly based on merit within the specified categories.
  
• Submission of an application does not guarantee selection. Final nominations will be forwarded by JKBOPEE to the Government of India as per the guidelines.
