NRI quota only in Uttarakhand seats in private medical colleges for MBBS admission. Seats in government medical colleges are not available under the NRI quota.

Eligibility Criteria for NRI Quota MBBS Admissions:

  1. NRIs/OCIs/PIOs and their Children: The candidate or his/her parents should be NRIs, OCIs, or PIOs possessing a foreign country’s permanent resident status. Parental origin from Kerala or any other state/union territory of India may be required. Parents should be able to show adequate annual income for covering medical education expenses of the applicant.
  2. NRI Sponsorship: This category is considered only after exhausting all the eligible NRIs/OCIs/PIOs and their children. The candidate has to have an NRI sponsor who is eligible in the same manner as mentioned for NRI parents above. The NRI sponsor may be a relative or a non-relative. The sponsor has to provide a financial guarantee or affidavit to cover the MBBS tuition fees of the applicant.

  • Medical Fitness Certificate: A certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner declaring your fitness to pursue medical education.
  • Migration Certificate (if applicable): If you completed your previous education from a different board/university within India, you might need a migration certificate.
  • If you belong to a category eligible for reservations in medical admissions (e.g., SC/ST/OBC), you need to provide a relevant category certificate.
  • Photo ID Proof: A government-issued photo identification document like a passport or Aadhar card.
