MBBS seats increased in MP 2025

The Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, has announced an important update for candidates participating in the MP State Combined Counselling for NEET UG 2025 (MBBS/BDS courses).

NMC Approves Increase in MBBS Seats

According to the official notice dated 04 September 2025, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved an increase in the sanctioned intake of MBBS seats at two government medical colleges:

  • Chhindwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Chhindwara – seats increased from 100 to 150.
  • Bundelkhand Medical College, Sagar – seats increased from 125 to 150.

Additional Seats Under State Quota

With this revision, 43 MBBS seats in Chhindwara and 22 MBBS seats in Bundelkhand Medical College, Sagar have been added under the State Quota. These seats will now be available in the second round of NEET UG 2025 counselling in MP.

Option for Upgradation in Round 2

Candidates who wish to revise their choices or opt for seat upgradation in the second round can do so by using the “willingness to upgradation” link available in their candidate login portal.
