Bond Conditions in Government Medical College Of Andhra Pradesh

In the year 2020 Government of Haryana had brought a new resolution and implemented 7 years Service Bond along with bond amount payable every year as a condition for students taking admission in Government Medical College. The main idea behind this decision is to engage fresh graduates to serve in the Government run hospital specifically in the rural areas. Rural service was there earlier as well but putting financial implication is a new methodology to meet the requirement of shortage of Doctors in rural part of India. By doing this students largely from poor backgrounds will be bound to serve as they won’t be able to furnish large amounts by themselves.

Important points of Bond conditions:

  • Bond amount – 10 Lacs
  • Service Tenure – 7 Years
  • Applicability – Only for Government Medical Colleges
  • Government can’t guarantee job in Government Hospital
  • If someone didn’t find a job will have to pay bond amount by themselves
  • Government will assist in getting a loan for the Bond amount, and continue to bear the repayment cost till the time he/she is working.

Options for Students opting Government Colleges:

Option A – State Government will facilitate for the bond amount in the form of an education loan from a Bank or Financial Institution)

**In this case students have to serve in a Government/Public run hospital for 7 years. Government will repay the amount till the time he/she continues to serve.

Option B – Student can pay the bond amount by themselves

**In this case students can do their own arrangement to pay the bond amount. Such students don’t have to serve any service bond after completion of course.
