West Bengal Stray Round Extension 2025
The Directorate of Medical Education, West Bengal has issued a new advisory on Medical Admissions 2025 comprising the updates regarding NEET-based counselling and the allocation of seats under the State quota. It basically conveys the principles that students should observe before they approach Admissions.
Revised Admission Guidelines
NEET UG and NEET PG candidates have to follow. DME regulations on eligibility, verification of documents, and seat allotment to avoid discrepancies.
Revised Counselling Process
The DME has enumerated the simplified counselling method in five stages as:
- Online registration Choice filling
- Document verification
- Provisional and final seat allotment
- Each one of these steps has to be performed within the time prescribed.
Documents Needed—Important Ones
The notification also urges the candidates to prepare the following documents beforehand:
- NEET scorecard
- Class 10- and 12-mark sheets
- MBBS/BDS certificates (for PG)
- Caste/Category certificates (if applicable)
- Domicile and photo ID proof
If any documents are missing, the admission can be delayed or even cancelled.

Strict Timeline Compliance
The DME has indicated that late registration and document submission after the deadline will not be entertained. Candidates must adhere to the official timetable if they want to be assured of their seats.
