Proof of Nativity for Kerala: Eligibility & Documents

For Keralite Candidates:

  • Birth Certificate, SSLC, or Parent’s Kerala-born proof (Annexure XXXV).

For Non-Keralite (NK-II) Candidates:

  • Indian Passport issued by the Government of India.
  • School Certificate confirming Class XI/XII completion in any Indian state.
NK-II candidates qualify for management quota seats if Keralite/NK-I seats remain vacant.

Annexure XXXIX: Certificate for Non-Keralite Category II (NK-II)

Who needs this certificate? Candidates who are neither ‘Keralite’ nor ‘Non-Keralite Category I’ must submit this certificate.
  • Primary proof: Indian Passport.
  • Alternate proof: Certificate from the Head of School (where the applicant completed or is studying for the qualifying exam).
NK-II candidates can apply for management quota seats in Government Cost Sharing and Private Self-Financing Engineering/Architecture colleges.
