The Directorate of Medical Education, Government of West Bengal, has issued an important notification regarding the arrangement of Medical Board verification and certification for PwD (Persons with Disability) candidates appearing for NEET UG MBBS, BDS, and Counseling 2025.
This verification is conducted under the guidelines of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 (RPwD Act 2016) and is mandatory for candidates applying under the 21 Benchmark Disabilities quota.
Verification Dates and Timings
Candidates are requested to appear before the Medical Board for physical verification on the following dates at IPGME&R, Kolkata:
- 27th August 2025 – From 10 AM to 2 PM
- 28th August 2025 – From 10 AM to 2 PM
- 29th August 2025 – From 10 AM to 2 PM
- 30th August 2025 – From 10 AM to 2 PM
- 1st September 2025 to 5th September 2025 – From 10 AM to 4 PM
Verification Authority
The verification will be conducted by the Medical Board under the Faculty of IPGME&R, Kolkata, with the assigned professor as per the official order. The Medical Board will thoroughly assess and certify candidates’ disability status as per the 21 benchmark disability conditions.
Important Points for Candidates
- The verification is mandatory for all PwD candidates applying for NEET UG MBBS, BDS, and counseling in West Bengal.
- Without this official PwD Medical Certificate from the Board, candidates will not be considered under the PwD quota.
- Candidates must carry all relevant documents, medical reports, and identification proof during verification.
