The School of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSR), Greater Noida, has officially declared itself as a minority medical college for the academic session 2025–26. This decision impacts the admission process and fee structure for students applying under the NEET UG 2025 counselling.

As per the notification issued on 7th August 2025, the institute will now allocate 50% of its MBBS seats to minority category students (Jain Minority) and the remaining seats to non-minority students as per state and MCC guidelines.

  1. The minority status of SMSR Greater Noida has been approved under the provisions of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act, 2004, enabling reservation for Jain minority candidates.
  2. The Uttar Pradesh Government has approved this minority status for admissions under NEET UG 2025.
  3. The revised fee structure applies to all candidates taking admission in SMSR Greater Noida from the 2025–26 academic session onwards.
  4. As per the Directorate of Medical Education and Training, UP, 50% seats will be reserved for Jain Minority candidates. The rest will be filled through general admission under the state quota and All India quota counselling.
  5. Earlier seat allocation and tution fee details for SMSR under NEET UG 2025 have now been replaced with this updated structure.
