The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially released the notification regarding the second round of seat allotment for UGCET – UGNEET 2025. This round of counselling will cover multiple courses, including Medical, Dental, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga, Engineering, Architecture, Veterinary, B.Pharm, Pharma-D, B.Sc. (Nursing), BPT, BPO, and Allied Health Sciences.

The second round seat allotment will be conducted online, and candidates are advised to carefully read the instructions before proceeding with option entry and admission formalities.

AYUSH Courses Seat Allotment

The seat matrix for AYUSH courses has already been published on the KEA website. It will be used for the second round of allotment.

  • Only candidates who have qualified in UGNEET 2025 and already participated in the first round (including CHOICE-1 candidates who got admitted after fee payment) can enter their options for AYUSH courses.
  • Students must enter their choices in order of priority.

Procedure for Allotment of Seats in the Second Round

  1. The complete seat matrix for the second round will be published before the commencement of option entry.
  2. Unfilled seats from Rural, Kannada Medium, Kalyana Karnataka and other reserved categories will be allotted to eligible candidates as per the rules.
  3. Any remaining seats will be considered for general allotment, ensuring that all categories (including reserved) are covered in the second round.
  4. Newly added and cancelled seats will also be part of this round, along with AYUSH seats as per the government notification.

Instructions for Entering Options in the Second Round

  • The list of available seats will be announced on the KEA Website.
  • Candidates must frequently check for updates regarding cancelled, forfeited, or newly added seats.
  • After agreeing to the terms and conditions, candidates can log in to the option entry portal and submit their preferences.
  • Options should be entered in order of priority since allotment is purely merit-based.

Seats Available in Second Round Allotment

The following categories of seats will be included in this round:

  • Unfilled seats of the first round.
  • Newly added seats.
  • Cancelled/surrendered seats.
  • Seats of candidates who failed to pay fees or did not report after allotment.
  • Seats of CHOICE-3 or CHOICE-4 candidates from the first round.

Instructions After the Second Round of Allotment

  1. No further changes in options will be allowed after the second round results are declared.
  2. Candidates allotted seats must report to the allotted college and complete admission formalities within the given schedule.
  3. Failure to pay fees or take admission will lead to legal action and cancellation of the seat.
  4. Candidates not allotted seats in this round can participate in the Medical Mop-Up Round as per the schedule.

Important Notes for Candidates

  • Those allotted Dental seats can take part in the Medical Mop-Up Round, but not in the Dental Mop-Up Round.
  • Those allotted AYUSH seats can participate in the Medical Mop-Up Round but not in the AYUSH Mop-Up Round.
  • CHOICE-2 candidates will continue to hold their first-round seat until a higher option is allotted in this round.
  • CHOICE-3 candidates must log in again and confirm their consent for participation.
