A recent addition to the NEET application requirements is the proof of permanent and current address introduced last year. It is advisable to anticipate its continuation for the NEET 2024 application.

Before you check the documents, The candidates must sign up for NEET 2024 by creating an account and filling out the application form. It’s a step-by-step process that starts with registering.

Challenges in Document Upload:

Many applicants encounter challenges while uploading supporting documents, ranging from missing documents to concerns about format and size. This blog aims to address these issues by providing a complete list of documents required for the NEET 2024 Application Form.

List of Required Documents:

Candidates are required to maintain digital copies of the following documents to ensure a smooth application process. Here’s a list of the documents that are required for the NEET 2024 form –

  1. Candidate’s Signature
  2. Candidate’s Left and Right Thumb Impressions
  3. Photograph in Postcard Size
  4. Photograph in Passport Size
  5. Certificate of Passing Class 10th

The NEET 2024 registration requires you to follow certain rules when you upload your documents, like using the right sizes and formats such as PDF or JPG. Applicants should get to know these rules and get their documents in advance. The NEET application form will probably be out in March.

Guidelines for Uploading Documents in NEET 2024 Application Form: Ensuring Compliance and Accuracy

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has set clear rules for sending important papers when you fill out the NEET 2024 Application Form.
This blog aims to provide a detailed overview of the guidelines for uploading photographs, signatures, and thumb impressions, as well as specific documents like proof of citizenship and category certificates.

NEET UG 2024 Application Form Photograph Upload Guidelines:

When uploading photographs, candidates must follow NTA guidelines. Note down the following specifications:

  1. The photograph should not be older than three months.
  2. It should be in colour or black and white, with 80 per cent of the face (without a mask) visible, including ears, against a white background.
  3. The scanned passport photograph should be between 10 KB to 200 KB (clearly legible).
  4. The scanned Postcard photograph (4”x6”) should have a size between 10 KB to 200 KB (clearly legible).
  5. Acceptable file formats are JPG or JPEG.

NEET UG 2024 Application Form Signature Upload Guidelines:

  1. The signature file format should be in JPG format.
  2. The scanned signature must have a size ranging from 4 KB to 30 KB.
  3. Signatures should be in running letters, not full capital letters.
  4. The signature should be created with a black ballpoint pen on white paper.
  5. Uploading someone else’s signature may lead to the cancellation of candidature.

NEET UG 2024 Application Form Thumb Impression Upload Guidelines:

  1. Ensure that the thumb impression image is easily readable.
  2. Submit left and right-hand fingers and thumb impressions per the provided template.
  3. The file size should fall within the specified range of 10 KB to 200 KB.
  4. Unclear thumb impressions of both right and left hands will be promptly rejected.

Document Proof of Citizenship Required for NEET UG 2024 Application Form:

Candidates falling under NRI, Foreign Citizen, or OCI categories must upload the following documents:

  1. A Citizenship Certificate issued by the official authority of the candidate’s Country of Nationality, stating essential details.
  2. OR a scanned copy of the passport’s first and last pages with relevant details.
  3. OR any other Government-issued document under the candidate’s Country of Nationality, including an OCI Card.

Category Certificates Needed for NEET 2024 Application Form:

Applicants falling within specific categories must upload the relevant certificates:

  1. GEN-EWS certificate issued on or after April 1, 2022.
  2. OBC-NCL certificate issued on or after April 1, 2022.
  3. Cast certificate for SC or ST, following the latest guidelines.
  4. PwBD certificate, indicating the candidate’s percentage of disability.

Candidates lacking the required certificate may use the Declaration by Candidates form from the NEET 2024 information brochure as an alternative.

NEET 2024 Document Requirements for Deemed Universities – NRI/OCI Candidates

During the counselling process for NEET registration, NRI/OCI candidates are required to submit original or hard copies of specific documents. The essential NEET 2024 documents for admission to deemed medical universities in India for NRI/OCI candidates include:

  1. Passport copy
  2. Sponsorship affidavit (affirming the sponsor’s commitment to cover education and living expenses throughout the MBBS course)
  3. Embassy certificate
  4. Relationship affidavit (serving as proof of the relationship between the sponsor and the NRI/OCI student)

How to Complete the NEET 2024 Application Form?

For aspiring medical students preparing for the NEET 2024 Exam, it is crucial to follow the steps below to successfully fill out the NEET application form for 2024.

Step 1 – NEET 2024 Registration

Initiate the NEET 2024 registration process by visiting the official NTA NEET website. Click on the application form link and choose the ‘New Registration’ option. Provide a valid email address and a verified phone number during account creation.

Step 2: Filling in the NEET 2024 Application Form

After completing the initial registration and creating login credentials, The candidates should click on the “Complete Application Form” tab to proceed. Carefully fill in the registration details.

Step 3: Document Upload

Be very careful while uploading the required documents for the NEET application form after providing the registration details. It is important to upload scanned copies of the original documents.

Step 4: NEET 2024 Application Fee Payment

Candidates must pay the required NEET 2024 application fee after completing and submitting the application. Payment can only be made online using a debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking. The application fees vary for different categories:

  • General: INR 1,700
  • General/EWS/OBC-NCL: INR 1,600
  • SC/ST/PwD: INR 1,000
  • Foreign Nationals: INR 9,500

Step 5: Printing the NEET 2024 Application Form

A confirmation window will appear after confirming and paying the NEET 2024 application fee. Download the confirmation page in PDF format and print at least two copies. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.
