Introduction
The Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, was founded in 2019 with the goal of improving the medical education and the health care facilities in the surrounding areas, as an initiative by the Uttar Pradesh State Government. The establishment was a move by the State to boost their medical sector, which lacked medical personnel.
Since its inception, GIMS Greater Noida has progressed in terms of infrastructure, staff, and services at the hospital. Eligibility Criteria for MBBS in Uttar Pradesh
- Only candidates who appeared in NEET UG 2025 and qualified are eligible.
- UP reserved category candidates will be considered as per NTA reserved cut-off.
- Reserved category candidates from other states will be considered only under the UR cut-off.
- For government medical and dental colleges, the candidate must be a UP domicile.
- If both High School and Intermediate are passed from UP, no domicile certificate is required.
- If either or both exams are passed outside UP, a valid UP domicile certificate is mandatory.
- For private and minority colleges, UP domicile or UP schooling is not required. Candidates from other states are eligible.
- Candidates allotted seats in UP NEET UG 2024 stray or special stray rounds but who did not join are not eligible.
- Eligibility criteria as per the NEET UG 2025 NTA brochure will apply.
